Richard's decision to stick with Action Jack Barker plays out in a few predictable ways in the latest episode of HBO's Silicon Valley

As the Pied Piper team shows up for work at their new office, which is lavish in the Google-y ways we've all heard about: an in-house chef, state of the art equipment, a relaxed atmosphere and snacks galore.

Then Richard meets with Action Jack's highly praised sales team and the meeting quickly devolves into Richard's worst nightmare, when the sales team says they can't sell the freemium (free to start) consumer-facing product that IS Pied Piper. When Richard jokingly dumbs it down for them, that's the product they want to sell -- to businesses.

A frustrated Richard leaves the crack sales team to talk to Jack and finds him at his vet's farm, where he witnesses Jack's prize-winning mare mating with another horse. Yes, the writers go there.

As the two horses go at it, Richard tries to save Pied Piper's business model and vision for the future. That's when Jack schools Richard on what Pied Piper's real product is: its stock.

Jack tells Richard they have to get the stock price up right away, not become profitable in four years, as Richard originally projected. According to Jack, Richard has to give the sales team something easy to sell or they'll leave and go to other companies.

F Gavin Belson!

Over at Hooli, Gavin Belson is hot under the collar because every time he searches his own name, articles about Nucleus's failure come up first. When his team tells them it's illegal to alter the search algorithm, he tells them to do something about it anyway, which will involve thousands of man hours.

The fired team of engineers is serving out their time so they can get their exit packages, and one of them discovers a solution, which he realizes can make him millions if he takes it to another company. The entire team of fired engineers immediately takes photos of the whiteboard with the formula as they all resolve "F Gavin Belson."

It's Hard Out Here for a Landlord

Speaking of being effed, Jared tries to return to his condo, which he's been subletting via Airbnb for income and discovers his renter has is broke and refuses to leave. After doing a little research, Jared discovers he has very few rights as a landlord and it will cost him a lot of money and time because he has to get a lawyer to help him evict his tenant.

Back at Erlich's house, Erlich meets a potential new incubee, who needs to move in immediately, so Erlich tells Jin Yang he'll have to leave.

Jin Yang does not take kindly to the news, as he insults Erlich and shreds a kimono Erlich gave him in the garbage disposal. Erlich makes the mistake of talking about landlord rights -- and lack thereof -- to Jin Yang, and the result is Jin Yang refuses to leave the house and says he's staying for a year and not paying rent.

As usual, Erlich's tactics are misguided and create another mess.

Thinking Outside the Box?

Meanwhile, Richard returns to the Pied PIper offices and is shocked to learn Jack's world-class sales team took seriously something Richard mentioned as an example of a bad product and created a sales pitch for it: a server in a box.

Jared, Gilfoyle, and Dinesh see the sales reel for the box and wonder what's happening. Richard is horrified as it looks like more than Jack's mare is getting f--ked.

Will Richard be able to get Action Jack to support his original vision of Pied Piper? Will the team find a way to make money in the short term while making the product they originally envisioned? Will Jared get to live in his own condo? So many questions.
