Proving there is no end to the life of some memes, especially the legendary Simpsons meme about "steamed hams," which made the jump to video games thanks to a brilliant mind and Super Mario Maker 2.

Behold, the work of genius.

Super Mario Maker 2 just hit Nintendo Switches everywhere last week -- spoiler alert: we really, really liked it! -- but this homage to one of the great memes took no time to hit the web.

The idea with the game, if you're not across it, is that players can actually build their own levels for Mario to navigate. As for how playable this level actually is, well, it looks pretty difficult but it's really about the art, anyway.

If you're keen to try it out, you can play the Simpsons-inspired yourself courtesy of the ID provided by creator @JFreshSplat.

And, of course, the responses to the creation were equally epic, complete with Simpsons references.

So stop reading these responses and get to playing the now-famous "steamed hams" level and rejoice, for we are all truly winners.
