Rory Feek, husband of country singer Joey Feek, has a sad update about his wife's condition.

"My wife has been asleep for days now and her body is shutting down quickly," Rory writes.

Joey, 40, is in hospice care for cervical cancer and will likely "only be with use for a few more days" according to her nurse, Rory says.

Joey has been battling cervical cancer since 2014, undergoing a hysterectomy and other treatments. Her husband began documenting the ordeal via intimate, detailed blog posts that quickly went viral. In October, Rory shared in that Joey had decided to end her treatment after "a recurrence of tumors," according to Billboard.

Rory's most recent lengthy blog post is a tribute to his wife and their life together. He also details how Feek was able to say goodbye to her family, including her mother, father, three sisters and daughter, Indiana.

"We all cried with my wife as she told her how much her mama loved her ... And then she pulled Indiana up and she kissed her," he recalls.

Joey was able to live to see her daughter's second birthday, but soon after decided "enough was enough" because of all the pain.

"She was ready to stop fighting and she told me so," Rory says. "She said the flowers would soon be blooming back in Tennessee."

He also shared a heartwarming video full of family photos, set to her cover of Shawn Camp and Dennis Morgan's "In The Time That You Gave Me."
