Large sinkhole swallows car in London
LONDON -- A large sinkhole swallowed a car in a residential street in southeast London early Thursday morning.
Metropolitan police were called to Woodland Terrace in Greenwich following reports of a sinkhole in the road.
There they found a dark blue family car, parked near Benefice of Charlton St. Thomas' Church, partially sunk in the hole.

The car apparently belongs to the brother of Abdul Ahmadza who was visiting last night and parked the car on Woodland Terrace.
He told the Press Association that he woke up at 4 a.m. (local time), saw the car, saw the hole and went back to sleep.
"Nothing I could do," he said.

A police spokesman said nobody was injured in the incident.
People tweeted pictures of the sinkhole and reported that bus were on diversion.
