Siri wants to be the biggest baseball geek in the world
Baseball season has officially started, so it's time to whip out some obscure stats to show your devotion to the game. And Siri wants to help you knock it out of the park.
Apple’s voice-activated assistant now responds to questions about player stats, historical stats, outcomes of past games and current league scores.

You can ask pretty detailed questions like “Who won the World Series in 2004?” or “How many strikeouts did Sandy Koufax have?”
Siri has been able to give users current scores, team rosters and schedules for a while, but the added depth of information she can now provide is a baseball geek’s delight. The next time you're deciding on who to pick for your fantasy team draft, you can easily check out detailed breakdowns of players and teams without needing to sift through stats websites.

Asking baseball questions to your device brings up detailed answers without needing to click through search results. Other virtual assistants like Cortana, Echo and Google Now don't have nearly as much baseball information as Siri now and will mostly just provide scores, roster, schedules and point you to web search results.
Not only does this update cover Major League Baseball, Siri can give you information for a total of 29 baseball leagues around the world. It includes the International League, New York’s Penn League, Dominican and Venezuelan Summer Leagues, Nippon Pro Baseball and many more, making the update appealing to more than just MLB followers.
