Very tired bear holds up bathroom line by napping on the sinks

He was safely removed, but not before leaving behind some shredded paper towels and a sink full of poop.

Bear with him, he's had a long day and just wants to nap.

A young black bear climbed through the bathroom window of Buck's T-4 Lodge in Big Sky, Montana and promptly fell asleep in the sink. He was peacefully removed by Gallatin County Sheriff's Office and the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Department, but not before leaving a massive goodbye shit in one of the sinks.

Buck's T-4 Lodge posted a video of the encounter on Facebook on Sunday documenting the wild encounter.

Buck's co-owner David O'Connor told the Washington Post that moose, elk, and deer are frequently seen around the lodge, but bears are rare.

"He had worked his way down that wall and found a window that was cracked, and opened it up," O'Connor said. "He was, for all intents and purposes, pretty safely tucked into that room."

He added that "it was very easy to control the situation" because the bear couldn't climb back out the window, and lacked the forethought (and thumbs) to pull the bathroom door open to exit through the lobby.

The sheriff arrived at the lodge quickly after the hotel staff called, but guests and the bear had to hang out for a few hours while waiting for Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to show up due to distance. The little guy was "pretty spooked" by the people gathered outside the bathroom door. He dealt with his fear by doing what we've all done when faced with trouble: nap.

"He made himself at home in the bathroom counter where the sinks are and went to sleep," O'Connor said.

We love a relatable king.

When the game warden from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks arrived at the scene, they put a phone in the bathroom and made a FaceTime call to it to keep tabs on the bear without putting themselves in danger. They also tranquilized him and watched until he was safely snoozing. Curious onlookers also watched the video call, and once he was out, rescuers carried him outside and tucked him into a cage for transport.

He will be safely dropped off to a more remote area, where he can nap unbothered for as long as he wants.

Buck's video ends with photos of the damage the young bear left in the bathroom, which includes a dispenser of shredded paper towels and a sink full of poop.
