We live in the era of nostalgia after all, as confirmed by the triumph of retro TV shows, movies and games such as Stranger Things, La La Land and Pokémon Go.

So when a reliable report on VentureBeat hinted at the return of the beloved Nokia 3310, a nearly indestructible phone whose battery seemed to last forever, people on Twitter reacted with justifiable excitement:

Details on the alleged re-release are scarce.

The HMD Global Oy, the Finnish manufacturer that bought the rights to market phones under the Nokia brand from Microsoft, will reportedly launch a "modern version" of 3310 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this month. According to the report, the phone will be launched on Feb. 26 and will cost only €59 ($63).

However, the burning question: will the new 3310 contain the legendary Snake game? Twitter certainly hopes so:

You can still play Snake on your phone -- without the physical keys, unfortunately -- by downloading Snake '97 from Google Play, the App Store and the Windows Phone store.
