Snap has a fourth color of Spectacles traveling the world
Snap's Spectacles are having quite a limited rollout. The video-camera glasses are only being sold via a vending machine that is appearing in select locations in the U.S.
So far, the so-called Snapbot has made just three stops. First, on Thursday it appeared in Venice,California near Snap's headquarters. It traveled up the coast to Big Sur, California on Sunday, and it spent a few hours near Tulsa, Oklahoma on Route 66 (by the Blue Whale of Catoosa) on Tuesday.
When you arrive at a Snapbot, you're able to choose between three colors: black, teal and coral. But there's a fourth color of Spectacles that is available and even tougher to acquire.
Two Daily Mail reporters showed off a clear pair of Spectacles in a Facebook Live video taken in London on Wednesday.
"We managed to get our hands on a limited edition gray-speckled pair," one of the reporters said.
Sean Walsh, the director of communications for DailyMail.com, declined to comment to Mashable on how the publication acquired the pair.
This isn't the first time the clear pair has made a public appearance. They debuted alongside Spectacles in a feature by Seth Stevenson in WSJ Magazine.
Snap Inc. CEO Evan Spiegel donned them in a photoshoot shot by famed fashion photographer Karl Lagerfeld for the WSJ piece.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
The clear version is not for sale, according to Snap's FAQ on Spectacles.
Snap did not respond to a request for comment.
