LONDON -- Snapchat has made it easier to share those election day selfies in the UK with three filters among the usual location, temperature and time stamps.

"I voted," "England -- Happy Voting! Poll Times: 7AM - 10PM," and "It's Election Day" appeared as options when we checked in north and central London on Thursday morning.

Snapchat also has an Election Day public story that anyone can add their snaps to.

Snapchat in the U.S. is fighting for "ballot selfies" to be legal, filing paperwork in a lawsuit. It has argued there that ballot selfies are a "uniquely powerful form of political expression."

In the UK, taking a selfie at the ballot box isn't specifically banned, but any photos which may reveal how another person voted are -- which could easily happen with a sloppy selfie. The Electoral Commission "strongly advise against any form of photography taken inside a polling station."

They suggest taking photos outside the polling station before or after the vote -- which leads to lots of pictures of polling station signs.

However it appeared that in the morning the winner of Snapchat was Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, whose account featured lots of both awkward and sincere snaps.

Keep snapping, Jezza.
