Here are all the best jokes about the new Star Wars movie title

Twitter's got more jokes than you can imagine, and you can imagine quite a bit.

We know: You love Han Solo. But the generic title of his standalone prequel movieSolo: A Star Wars Story — left many fans feeling colder than a carbonite freezing chamber.

Still, you can always count on Twitter to smuggle in the jokes. And the fact that director Ron Howard revealed the title in a Twitter video, in which he is seen flipping a giant and easily photoshop-able card, meant the inevitable parodies arrived faster than the Millennium Falcon doing the Kessel Run.

Here follows a field guide to every breed of joke the Twitterati could deliver. First of all, the Ron Howard in Arrested Development gag:

There were porg jokes galore. Bonus points to this one for including an accidental dollar sign — because Lucasfilm's merchandising department can imagine quite a bit of wealth at the moment.

Even the colon in Solo: A Star Wars Story was a source of amusement.

True fact: there was already a 1996 movie called Solo. It didn't do very well.

And of course there's the original red cup, for which Han Solo was originally named by George Lucas. Hey, even Han gets sued sometimes:

There was plenty of snark left over for the film's troubled path to the screen, which has included the firing of two directors -- and the still-unanswered question of who gets the director credit on Solo.

Of course, the truly hardcore solo just don't go out at all.

Surprisingly few people (like this author) made a Star Wars Special Edition joke ...

... possibly because the crew got their shot in first.

And finally, there's this extremely obscure fan joke, based on the fact that the character was parodied as "Ham Salad" in the 1978 indie comedy short Hardware Wars:
