Sonos prices will rise this year thanks to tariffs
President Donald Trump's tariff policies are putting Sonos in a bind.
Simply put, the tariffs will result in higher prices on Sonos products in the U.S., as confirmed by company CEO Tom Conrad in a Bloomberg report. Conrad didn't go into granular detail about which products will see price hikes and by how much, but it's clear that this is going to happen, one way or another, unless Trump reverses course on his tariff policies.
"We continue to work closely with our contract manufacturers and our Channel Partners to share tariff costs, though it has become clear that we’ll need to raise prices on certain products later this year," Conrad said.

Sonos does most of its manufacturing in Vietnam and Malaysia, both of which will be subject to higher tariffs soon. Trump's tariffs have wreaked havoc on the practice of pricing tech products since he announced them back in April. Examples include Nintendo and Microsoft in the gaming space, both of whom have raised prices on consoles and accessories that are several years old and, under normal conditions, would potentially get price drops instead.
Anyway, if you want a Sonos product, maybe now is the time to get it.
