Ominous name, interesting app.

Soon, an app to keep track of all the cool things you plan on doing eventually, has launched a city-list functionality, enabling people to plan trips through the app.

Been talking for months about getting a group together to check out that new museum? Soon wants to make it happen.

"We want to give our users a great tool to plan their next trip, by themselves or with their friends, so that they get the most out of it" said Co-Founder and CEO of Soon Carl Anchér, speaking with Mashable. "A way for them to try new, better, and more exciting places."

The app, a "social bucket list," makes it easy to keep track of movies, tv shows, podcasts, places and more. Once you're done with something, it is moved to a separate "Past" list for reference. If you're looking for suggestions, the "trending" selection will let you know what's popular, or friends can share their recommendations with you through the app.

The new "city" function allows users to plan trips with friends, and to keep locations separate by city. If you want to try a restaurant in Los Angeles, for example, you can now keep it bookmarked in a separate folder from your spots in New York. The different spots you want to hit up, and recommendations, are plotted on a map to help users navigate from place to place.

"Most people only travel a few times a year, but we talk and read and dream about it all the time. We realized that every dinner, Instagram feed and glossy mag is full of inspiration, but it all tends to be lost in space when we finally stand there at the airport." said Anchér.

"People have all kinds of solutions today, from random notes on your phone to post-its on your fridge to emailing yourself. We simply wanted to create a better way," he said.

Soon is available on iOS.
