LONDON -- Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, a.k.a. Sansa Stark, has got a bone to pick with you.

It's something she's been bottling up since the very first season of Game of Throes; something that's grated on her so much that she finally decided to take to Twitter on Friday to set the record straight.

Apparently, everyone's been saying her character's name wrong.

The reactions to her tweet have been mixed.

Obviously, today is 1 April, so it's possible that she's just trolling us. But Turner did send that tweet after 12.00pm GMT -- so technically, she'd be breaking the sacred rules of April Fools' Day if it was only a joke.

More importantly: How do people actually say her name in the show? Well, looking back through a few clips, it's a bit of mixed back.

In this scene, Petyr Baelish pronounces her name "Sanser," while in the clip below, Roose Bolton's pronunciation is definitely closer to "Sanza" than "Sarnsa."

Then again, take a look at this interview clip with George R. R. Martin (he mentions Sansa at 1:14).

Martin definitely draws out the "r" sound in Sansa's name; he says it the same way Turner says it should be pronounced in her tweet. Surely the author gets the final word, right?

Start drawing out those r's, people.

UPDATED 1 APRIL 2016 3.10pm GMT: Turner has sent out another tweet for the benefit of US fans...
