NBC live gets the Sorkin treatment with 'A Few Good Men'
After several live musicals and the wildly successful The Wiz, NBC's live theater sights have shifted to Aaron Sorkin's A Few Good Men. Sorkin wrote the 1989 Broadway production and Academy Award-nominated 1992 film.
“I am thrilled that Aaron Sorkin is coming back to NBC to adapt and produce a live broadcast of his electrifying play A Few Good Men, which seems as timely as ever today,” said NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt.

Sorkin will executive produce with Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who produced Smash, The Sound of Music Live, Peter Pan Live and The Wiz Live, along with movie versions of Hairspray, Footloose, and Chicago.
“I’ve been incredibly impressed watching NBC resurrect live musical theater for television and I’m eager to team up with Craig and Neil to help bring live drama back as well,” Sorkin said.
The live version of A Few Good Men is set to air in 2017.
