This Halloween costume takes the holiday to a new and meaningful level.

Deepica Mutyala used the spooky holiday to create an original take on Wonder Woman, combining her culture with an inspiring and strong female character and encouraging others to "find parts of your identity, your culture, your personality and fuse them with anything YOU want to be - make it your own."

Of her Wonder Woman costume, Deepica says, "I felt so inspired after watching Wonder Woman. She’s a badass. She’s fearless, independent, but she’s also compassionate and giving. We as women need to remember we can be all of this too. We don’t need to stick to just one bucket and be defined as that. Be you for YOU."

The unique take comes from Deepica's latest project, #BEYOUROWNHERO, which stemmed from her #BEYOUROWNPRINCESS movement. #BEYOUROWNPRINCESS inspires everyone to "be your own person no matter what society tells you."

In addition to her Wonder Woman look, she creates her own looks for Jasmine, Ariel, Cinderella, and even becomes her own Prince Charming, because "you don't need to have blonde hair to be Cinderella and you don't have to be a guy to be a Prince - being a "Prince(ss)" is a state of mind!"

Though she had many inspirations for creating #BEYOUROWNPRINCESS, she writes in her blog post that "I also was inspired thinking about 5th grade Deeps - I want so badly for her to know that the things about her that she's so busy trying to mask will actually be what makes her succeed and achieve her dreams in the future. The sooner she embraces who she is, the sooner she will be happy."

And though she used iconic princesses for her project, she writes that "the whole concept of the video is for you to be your own person no matter what society tells you."

Follow her on Instagram or Twitter or subscribe to her YouTube to see more looks like this. And next Halloween, or anytime you feel like dressing up, be sure to use this as inspiration.
