LONDON -   People do all types of things to avoid speeding tickets, but one man took it even further by blocking a camera with the boot of his car.

A resident in Hemel Hempstead captured the moment a man took it upon himself to work for the greater good and pull up behind a van to block its camera.

The photo was posted to Reddit, where one person commented: "I'm sure the people that live on that street really appreciate it."

Another said that the man was "the hero we don't really deserve but it's pretty great to have."

However others users expressed their objection to the man's actions and insisted that people just don't speed in general.

The driver, believed to be local resident Kristian Portugal, went off to the local pub after leaving his car, the Daily Mail reports.
