Squirrel crashes a pro football game, regrets it immediately

He left it all on the field.

This daring squirrel might have gotten in over its head, but its tenacity is admirable.

It crashed a Canadian Football League game and though its heart is mighty, its body is very very small.

The Roughriders were playing the Stampeders at their home stadium in Calgary when the little guy ran onto the field. The footballers began running their play and the poor creature instantly regretted its decision.

Twitter loved this little guy's efforts on the fields. And while the squirrel was probably more hinderance than help on the playing field, it certainly won the hearts of the crowd.

Give the squirrel a jersey, coach!
