Stanley Tucci teaching you to make a Negroni is the most soothing thing in your feed

When I got up this morning, I had no idea that something deeply soothing awaited me on the internet. But here I am, watching Stanley Tucci making a Negroni in his kitchen and I feel utterly relaxed by it.

Ina Garten likely paved the way for The Devil Wears Prada star with her boozy cosmopolitan recipe.

But now is the time for the Quarantini baton to be passed on to someone new. Someone with a knowledge of what makes a good sweet vermouth. Someone named Stanley Tucci.

By this stage in the article, you should have likely hit play on the video below. But if not, here's what's in store for you. Tucci begins by asking his wife — Felicity Blunt, literary agent, and sister to Emily Blunt — if she'd like a Negroni. She, of course, says yes, and away we go. Smooth jazz plays in the background. Tucci adds ice to a cocktail shaker, before pouring a double shot of gin, a shot of sweet vermouth, then a single shot of Campari. Then you shake.

Tucci puts his Negronis in a coupe glass. But it's fine if you want to use a martini glass. Whatever floats your...Negroni. Top it off with a slice of orange as a garnish.

A cursory glance at the comments on Tucci's Instagram post will show that his Quarantini recipe went down a storm.

"The Negroni shall henceforth be known as the QuaranTucci," wrote one commenter.

"More Tucci Tutorials plz," wrote another.

Even more praise came from Tucci's Captain America: The First Avenger co-star Chris Evans, who tweeted of Tucci's martini-making on set.

Cincin!

UPDATE: April 22, 2020, 9:50 a.m. BST Added high praise from Captain America himself, Chris Evans, because you truly need this loveliness in your life.
