'Star Wars' droid BB-8 had a great day at NASA making new robot friends
The charismatic Star Wars droid BB-8 probably felt right at home when it visited NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California this week.
The Star Wars: The Force Awakens favorite got to hang out with some real-life space robots at JPL, according to some truly charming photos posted to the lab's Facebook on March 9.

BB-8 snapped some photos with an Earth-based twin of the Mars-exploring Curiosity rover in the "Mars Yard" at JPL -- a simulated Martian landscape used to test space robots. The droid also got to hang out with other NASA robots including RoboSimian, a bot designed to aid in disaster relief efforts.
All in all, BB-8 looks like it had a pretty great day zooming around NASA with its new robot friends.
