Disneyland's 'Star Wars' cantina will serve booze to all us lowlife smugglers

Definitely the drinks we were looking for.

Like Han Solo in the iconic cantina scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, we're sorry about the mess. And we're taking the shot first.

That's right, folks, the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge park expansion to Disneyland is serving alcohol. We couldn't imagine recreating the sleazy intergalactic dive bar filled with smugglers and bounty hunters any other way.

Disney made the welcome announcement on the park's blog on Thursday, Aug. 30. The company also offered up some new concept art for the highly anticipated Black Spire Outpost expansion, which opens in 2019.

And get this: It'll be the first time the family-oriented park will ever serve alcohol. Because rule-breaking is just what Oga Cantina is all about.

The post describes the "adult libations" that will be served as "concoctions created with exotic ingredients using 'otherworldly' methods, served in unique vessels."

If the drinks aren't strong enough to take down a wookie, we ain't buying it.

The description of the the cantina also hints at the possibility of having a bevy of recognizable faces in the mix — and we're pulling for Gredo to be among them:

Visitors come to this notorious local watering hole to unwind, conduct shady business, and maybe even encounter a friend…or a foe. Run by an intriguing alien proprietor, Oga Garra, the cantina adheres to a strict code of conduct that tries to keep its unruly patrons in check. But with a history of being a smugglers’ safe haven and a popular stopping point for those seeking to avoid the authorities, you can bet that the cantina has a story or two to tell.

The cantina music, which has also become a staple for Star Wars fans, will be provided by "RX-24, the former StarSpeeder 3000 pilot droid we first met in Star Tours, who has re-envisioned himself as the cantina’s DJ."

May the force keep us standing as we stumble out of Oga's Cantina.
