The distracted boyfriend meme definitely appears to belong to the latter.

At San Diego Comic Con this weekend, the meme got a fresh lease of life thanks to a genius Star Wars twist.

A strong take, we're sure you'll agree.

That image was later shared to Twitter, where it received over 9000 retweets and almost 30,000 favorites.

Here are some of the cosplayers behind the photo, who have now all taken a well-deserved spot in the meme hall of fame.
