'Titanfall' and 'God of War' talents team up to tell a 'Star Wars' story
Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Titanfall, is making a Star Wars game.
Don't confuse this with the other two Electronic Arts Star Wars games we know about. Battlefield developer DICE built the 2015 shooter Star Wars: Battlefront. And EA Motive, in Canada, is working on an as-yet-unrevealed game written by Uncharted scribe Amy Hennig.

This isn't either of those games. A Respawn blog post says little about what to expect, confirming only that the game is a "third-person action/adventure."
We also know that Stig Asmussen, former God of War creative lead who joined Respawn after leaving Sony Santa Monica in 2014, has a role behind the scenes. It's Asmussen who announced the Star Wars news, in a new blog post.
[W]e promise to pay respect to the Star Wars legacy at all times, a fact that will be constantly reinforced and honored as a central game design tenet. Fans should expect the exemplary level of quality first established at Respawn with Titanfall, a game that epitomizes our studio’s dedication to slick, larger-than-life action and fun, groundbreaking mechanics.
Don't expect to hear much more about this in the near future. EA only recently announced Titanfall 2, and any fanfare around E3 reveals in June will probably focus on that.
Still, today is May the 4th and any Star Wars news is good Star Wars news.
