United is still getting trolled, this time by Star Wars fans

"We know how to use the Force."

United Airlines has come under heavy, heavy fire after a disturbing video surfaced earlier this week of a passenger getting forcibly dragged off an overbooked flight.

The controversial situation and the subsequent way United handled it has sparked waves upon waves of backlash, both on the internet and in real life. Twitter has trolled them, Merriam-Webster has trolled them, and now, so has Star Wars.

Star Wars fans have gathered together in Orlando for the annual Star Wars Celebration, a convention dedicated to the fan-favorite franchise. But even amongst the massive amounts of Star Wars appreciating, even in the midst of exciting announcements about the future of the franchise, people can't forget what United did.

So fans dedicated to stage their own version of United's grave mistake.

Here we see the villain Kylo Ren from The Force Awakens dragging a young fan by the legs. Kylo Ren has a United pin on his chest, and the sign he's wearing reads, "United Airlines: We know how to use the Force."

It's dangerous to make light of a situation as grave as the one that occurred on Sunday. No matter how much we jest or joke, we should not lose sight of the fact that unjust suffering is at the root of this terrible incident. Using this moment just to get a laugh inappropriately takes advantage of a man's traumatic experience.

But in this Star Wars instance, the message is also pretty clear. Comparing United Airlines to a villain is not too far from the truth. From Sunday's video to the many reports of mistreatment from United customers in the past, it's safe to say that the airline would feel right at home on the Dark Side.
