Starbucks rings in spring with new Cherry Blossom Frappuccino
Spring has sprung. Well, not really, but it's coming very soon, we swear.
In celebration of the annual death of winter, Starbucks is rolling out a limited edition Cherry Blossom Frappuccino starting Tuesday. The drink will be available until March 20, the first day of spring, in participating stores across the U.S.
But if you wanted a cherry drink, forget it.

Starbucks describes the drink as "a delicious blend of sweet strawberries and cream, striped with white chocolate sauce and matcha drizzle and topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of matcha."
According to the company's press release, the flavor was, "inspired by the pink cherry blossoms that are a symbol of spring and the Sakura Blossom & Strawberry Frappuccino that is available in Starbucks stores in Japan."
The cherry blossom, known as sakura in Japan, is the country's national flower, and also symbolizes spring, renewal and simplicity.
So put down that hot coffee, iced season has officially begun.
