Starbucks is selling cold brew in jars because it wants in on the hipster market too

Is nothing sacred anymore?

Starbucks has started selling cold brew coffee in mason jars -- basically the equivalent of your parents texting you "internet speak" unironically.

Starbucks brought its cold brew product to Singapore in July last year, about a year after it debuted in the U.S., but the new mason jar is unique to the Asian island city.

The company released a line of green-capped mason jars for summer in South Korea last year, but the Singapore version comes with a black cap instead, presumably matching its fancier "black apron" Reserve branding.

You can buy the mason jar at S$8.90 ($6.30) or S$5.90 ($4.20) with a cold brew purchase.

Get one just so you can get the nearest hipster in your office to throw away their mason jar in disgust.

UPDATE: March 6, 2017, 2:50 p.m. SGT Starbucks confirmed the black-capped mason jar is unique to Singapore.
