'Starfield' glitch makes it hilariously easy to get a great spacesuit

Constellation really needs to tighten up its security protocols.

Starfield is out in early access now and players are already poking and prodding at it to find weaknesses in its digital armor. One such weakness was spotted by Twitter user Patrick Maka (and subsequently seen by PCGamer), which allows players to grab one of the best spacesuits in the game almost immediately after starting, with zero difficulty or consequences. Take a look.

To provide some context, one of the first places Starfield takes you after completing the tutorial is The Lodge, in the human capital city of New Atlantis. The Lodge has a small basement, and if you sniff around enough down there, you'll find a glass display case with a mannequin wearing a statistically powerful Mark I spacesuit, helmet, and boost pack set.

All you have to do is go into first-person mode (you can probably do this in third-person but it's probably a lot more annoying), position the camera so you can see a small open gap in the glass, and you're all set. Your crosshair should highlight the mannequin instead of the master-level lock, and if it does, just hit the action button and take what's rightfully yours.

I just personally confirmed that this is real and extraordinarily easy to do. You don't even get marked as a thief for doing it. Better grab the spacesuit now before Bethesda patches Starfield to fix this exploit.
