Add Golden State Warriors star and back-to-back NBA MVP Steph Curry to the list of sports figures who've recently criticized Donald Trump.

But this is on another level.

And the most interesting part? It likely wouldn't have happened at all if one of Curry's primary employers hadn't sung the president's praises.

Curry has a lucrative sneaker deal with Under Armour. Kevin Plank, Under Armour's CEO, on Tuesday prompted internet backlash by calling Trump "a real asset for the country."

So, what's Curry's take?

“I agree with that description,” Curry told the Bay Area News Group on Wednesday. “If you remove the et.”

As the kids say: Yooooooooo!!!

Naturally, many immediately wondered how Curry -- who is Under Armour's biggest athlete endorser -- would respond to Plank's description of Trump as an "asset for the country." Or if he would respond at all.

Oh, he responded. To paraphrase good ol' Drake: Steph Curry with the shot, boy.

Curry's exclusive interview with Bay Area News Group columnist Marcus Thompson II is worth a full read indeed. But that's the quote that stands out -- and the one that will have people talking.
