Stephen Colbert and Nick Kroll spark the #PuberMe hashtag to raise awareness for Puerto Rico and show off embarrassing photos
Stephen Colbert says he never experienced the "awkward" stage as a tween, but photo evidence suggests otherwise.
The Late Show host shared an embarrassing yet charming throwback of himself early Thursday morning as a young pubescent, braces included, and all for a good cause.

The post is part of a celebrity internet challenge and joint fundraising effort from Colbert and actor Nick Kroll. During Kroll's Late Show appearance on Wednesday night, he and Colbert called on fellow celebrities to post awkward photos of themselves in their youth alongside the hashtag #PuberMe.
For every celeb who posts a photo, the Late Show host will donate money to Puerto Rico hurricane relief through his charity, the Americone Dream Fund, and Kroll will match it.
To show he's serious, Kroll posted an awkward puberty photo of his own in which he rocks a boxy double-breasted jacket.

Fellow comedian and late-night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel contributed with a snapshot of him leaning on a car with a license plate that reads: "L8 Nite."
