When it comes to writing about cars, Stephen King has form.

Christine. Buick 8s. Those trucks that come alive and terrorise people trapped in a rest stop. The list goes on.

Admittedly most of those wouldn't be vehicles you'd be particularly keen to encounter IRL. But King's latest invention, which he tweeted about on Sunday, sounds significantly friendlier.

People on Twitter were all for it.

Well, chances are, we're not going to have that car anytime soon, so it only seems fair that we should at least get a short story about it.

The idea definitely has the potential for a creepy twist or two.
