LOS ANGELES -- Steve Aoki, celebrity esports owner of team Rogue, linked up with Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance on Wednesday for a charity Overwatch match in Los Angeles.

The musical duo hopes to raise $10,000 for Best Buddies and National Alliance on Mental Illness. The stream will begin Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT on Aoki's Twitch channel.

Best Buddies is nonprofit dedicated to creating employment opportunities for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities; NAMI helps support and educate people and families that suffer from mental illness.

It wasn't immediately clear who would be playing the match, or whether they'd be playing against each other or together.

This isn't the first time Way and Aoki have collaborated, the pair released a remixed version of My Chemical Romance's "The Black Parade" for its 10th anniversary on Monday.

Aoki invested in Las Vegas-based team Rogue in early October. Rogue has seen great success in Overwatch, winning the $100,000 grand prize for Overwatch Atlantic tournament. They're currently ranked 5th in the world for the game.
