Steve Wozniak has a love-hate relationship with Apple Watch.

In a Reddit AMA (ask me anything) session Wednesday, the Apple co-founder criticized the soon-to-be-slightly-updated gadget, saying it's undermining Apple's core values.

"I love my Apple Watch, but - it's taken us into a jewelry market where you're going to buy a watch between $500 or $1100 based on how important you think you are as a person," he wrote.

"Twenty watches from $500 to $1100. The band's the only difference? Well this isn't the company that Apple was originally, or the company that really changed the world a lot."

Don't worry, though, Woz isn't losing any sleep over the direction Apple is heading. In fact, he's got all sorts of praise for company CEO Tim Cook. "I love the software, and I love the hardware, and nothing's letting me down. So I approve very strongly of Tim Cook and the new Apple," he wrote.

And even though Apple hasn't so far done much with virtual reality, which seems to be everywhere these days, Woz is very bullish on the technology, claiming one of his favorite upcoming gadgets is the Oculus Rift. "I love putting mine on and watching a basketball game live; it was just an experience that you can't believe," he wrote.

He also revisits some of his history with Apple, claiming the company always took really good care of him.

"Steve Jobs would always make sure I had a badge that could get me into any building [at Apple]. I didn't use it much, but I can go there. The only trouble is I'll get mobbed."

In a comment, Wozniak also reiterated the points he recently made about the ongoing legal battle between the FBI and Apple.

"If some code gets written in an Apple product that lets people in, bad people are going to find their way to it, very likely," he wrote.
