We've officially reached peak Stranger Things 2 promotion madness. But if you're a particularly dorky sneakerhead, this latest stunt from Netflix might be a good thing.

On Wednesday, two days before the premiere of Stranger Things 2, Sony and Netflix announced in a press release that they'll be releasing a special edition pair of Stranger Things x Ghostbusters Reebok sneakers.

The 1984 Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi Clean sneaks are a replica of the pair that Dustin (played by Gaten Matarazzo) wears for his Ghostbusters Halloween costume. They come complete with Dustin's hand-drawn "no ghosts" logo on the side, as well as a Stranger Things insignia stitched into the sole.

The retailer BAIT will be the exclusive seller of the new product in October. The shoes will get a wider release at sneaker stores and on Reebok online in coming months. The price has not been announced.

The Duffer brothers went to great lengths to suit up the Stranger Things boys in the proper '80s attire for a group of Dungeons and Dragons loving preteens. In order to get permission for Dustin, Mike, Will, and Lucas to wear Ghostbusters suits for their Halloween costumes, Ross and Matt Duffer had to call Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman and star/co-writer Dan Aykroyd for their official blessing. Luckily, Reitman and Aykroyd are fans of Stranger Things. Reitman even said in the sneaker's release announcement that "it makes total sense that in the fall of 1984, Dustin and his friends would be nuts for Ghostbusters."

Here's hoping the Stranger Things gang knows not to cross those streams.
