Tis the season for all things pumpkin, including creepy Stranger Things posters. Netflix released a disturbing new teaser for Stranger Things 2 just in time for fall, which features Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour) shining a flashlight on what appears a pumpkin graveyard.

The pumpkins are decayed, rotting, and just slightly submerged in an eerie fog. They look like they're in the Upside Down -- or that something from the Upside Down snuck into our world and got them.

In a recent interview with EW, series creators Matt and Ross Duffer said that Stranger Things 2 builds toward a "shadow monster" from the Upside Down.

“It’s all connected to this singular threat, which is tied into this shape that Will sees in the sky,” Ross Duffer said.

Added Matt: "It gets much crazier than it ever got in season 1.”

Judging by the pumpkin carnage, we don't doubt it.

Stranger Things 2 premieres Oct. 27.
