'Street Fighter V' community is on a mission to prove just how much Akuma sucks

The glass cannon is too much glass, not enough cannon.

Street Fighter V's cast of characters has an array of strengths and weaknesses, but nobody is easier to kill than Akuma.

Akuma, the red-haired devil, is what's known as a glass cannon -- he dishes out tons of damage but can't take much. Out of all the characters in SFV, Akuma has the least stamina and can get knocked out quicker than anyone. Recently, some Street Fighter players have been taking on a new challenge: taking out Akuma using just two combos.

The challenge was started by player Javits Arias. He kicked it off by taking Akuma all the way down to death with two combos from Chun-Li.

The responses have been trickling in, showing just how quickly Akuma can be taken down by players with expert-level combo skills.

Zangief can do it.

Ryu can do it.

Cammy can do it.

Kolin can do it.

F.A.N.G. can do it.

Players have shown that the feat is possible with a good chunk of the SFV roster, which shows just how weak Akuma is against other characters. It also explains why you almost never see Akuma played in competitive SFV -- he's just too easy to kill.

Akuma can block combos when in the hands of a capable player, but his damage output doesn't make him a balanced character. Capcom is giving a buff to Akuma in the next update, bumping his stamina from 875 to 900 to hopefully give Akuma players a bit more confidence.

Whether that will be enough to make Akuma a viable pick remains to be seen.
