If you didn't know any better, it sure looks like North Korea is home to the best online Street Fighter V player in the world.

A SFV player that goes by the name Best_Korea somehow manipulated the game to take the coveted first place ranking on the online leaderboard, where they have continued to sit for four days. Best_Korea, whose home country is listed as North Korea, is beating the rightful no. 1 player Wolfkrone by over 20,000 league points as of Tuesday.

Instead of manipulating the leaderboard itself, Best_Korea appears to be hacking their match results and turning losses against opponents into wins without even trying. Here's a look at one of Best_Korea's recent matches.

Even though MyResolve clearly won the match, the results page shows that Best_Korea earned the win. Not cool, Best_Korea.

Despite topping the leaderboard through devious means on Friday, Best_Korea has still not been knocked out of first place or penalized by Capcom. The Street Fighter V Server Twitter account did note that servers will be undergoing maintenance today, so the debacle may be resolved soon.

This isn't the first time SFV's online rankings have been compromised. In September, a hacker created an account under the name of pro Kun Xian Ho and boosted it all the way up to first place with a whopping 130,000 league points.

Both of the cheating accounts belong to PC players, so expect a patch on that version of the game to fix that security hole. We reached out to Capcom to find out exactly what's happening here and what's being done to fix it. We'll update if we find out more.
