This student's hilariously bizarre campaign video escalates so damn fast

So gloriously strange.

Running for a position at your students' union is a competitive business, so it's always good to find a way to stand out from the competition.

Aoife O'Brien, a student at the University of Limerick in Ireland, seems to have figured out the key to setting herself apart from the crowd.

As part of her campaign for VP Academic officer—a sabbatical position at the students' union—O'Brien shared the following video.

"Hey guys, just a quick video to get to know me!" she wrote. "Some may say it's out of this world."

To be fair, it is pretty great.

At the time of writing, the video has 180,000-plus views and more than 3000 likes. If its success is anything to go by, we think O'Brien will do pretty well in the upcoming election—if not, she's clearly got a future in something.
