A Twitter user shared a story Sunday that went viral of a man ending a conversation on the subway in a very novel way.

Some considered this method to be a stroke of genius.

Others thought it was probably a bit too blunt.

Some saw a parallel with a certain popular TV detective.

Great though Sherlock is to watch, he isn't a great model for treating fellow humans with appropriate respect.

Still, getting the Tube in the morning, you can understand the need for peace.
