'Suicide Squad' star Jared Leto Joins 'Blade Runner' Sequel
Hot off his divisive turn as the Joker in Suicide Squad, Oscar winner Jared Leto has signed on for a "key role" alongside Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford in Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner sequel, it was announced Thursday by Alcon Entertainment.
Robin Wright and Mackenzie Davis co-star alongside Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Hiam Abbass, Lennie James, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista, Oscar-nominated actor Barkhad Abdi and Villeneuve's Prisoners actor David Dastmalchian.
The sequel is set several decades after the 1982 original, with Ford reprising his iconic role as Rick Deckard. Original director Ridley Scott is among the executive producers on the film, which was written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green.
