Timberlake also announced the billing in a pretty cringy video with old friend Jimmy Fallon on Twitter.

It's a contentious billing, considering Timberlake's history with the halftime show — folks haven't quite forgotten Timberlake's role in the supposed "wardrobe malfunction" at the 2004 halftime show with Janet Jackson, and how her career took a major hit while his star continued to rise.
With Timberlake teasing new music on Instagram, it seems likely the halftime show will coincide with an album drop at some point in early 2018.
