Crock-Pot didn't ask for this.

After last Tuesday's This Is Us episode ended with a Crock-Pot fire that could, in all likelihood, lead to the impending death of a beloved main character, the slow cooker company was forced to do major damage control.

Though Crock-Pots are actually quite safe, the episode had us resenting the perfectly fine appliance for its (potential) role in our favorite character's devastating demise. And though we will be the first to acknowledge that it's irrational to hold a grudge, we're going to hold onto it just a little bit longer.

If you, like us, are planning to stay steamed just through the February 6 season finale, but still want stewed meats for Super Bowl 2018 (which airs just before the tragic episode), here's 18 dishes you can make sans slow-cooker.

Sorry Crock-Pot. We still love you.
