'Super Mario Maker' is coming to 3DS with new course sharing options
Nintendo's build-your-own Mario level masterpiece is coming to its 3DS handheld this year, the company announced Thursday.
Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS has many of the same features as its full-sized Wii U counterpart, but emphasizes sharing levels with your friends nearby. Players will be able to share levels they've built with friends locally, including levels they haven't completed so they can finish building them together. You can also collect new levels to play via StreetPass.
Players can also play pre-loaded Super Mario Maker levels, the 100-Mario challenge, or curated levels from Nintendo found online. The game does lack the ability to search for a level by course ID though.
