Nintendo knows you want to move to Japan for the swag alone.

During Thursday evening's streaming Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo's home Japanese division showed off a sweet New 3DS XL handheld inspired by the Super Famicom -- the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo.

With face buttons inspired by the original Super Famicom controller, and an exterior that looks like the top of that console, it's hard to deny the nostalgia-enlaced coolness of this New 3DS XL.

Nintendo will sell this model in Japan only for 21,600 yen, or about $189, starting in April.

There could be a U.S. SNES version at some point, though, as the game maker also announced Thursday that SNES titles would be coming to the New 3DS around the world.

n the U.S., fans can now buy classic titles Super Mario World, F-Zero and Pilotwings from the eShop. (It's a lineup meant to mimic the Super Nintendo games sold when the console came to the U.S. in 1991.)

On March 24, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario Kart and EarthBound will join the lineup, followed by The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Quest on April 14.

It's important to note that these titles are only playable on the New 3DS, and not older models.
