Australians decide the supermoon super-sucks
Australians love jokes at other people's expense. If there’s a tall poppy, they’ll chop it down with an LOL. If there’s a glorious supermoon in the sky, they’ll smirk and say they’ve seen bigger.
But in the case of Monday night’s supermoon -- the biggest and brightest in 70 years -- it may have been kind of true.
Some Australians in the major cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide were up against some major clouds, only copping a peek at the supermoon here and there.

And because it appeared smaller to the naked eye the higher it climbed, the online wrath of Australians only grew as the night progressed.

It was a supermoon that brought people together. It mended hearts. But in Australia, the bonding came through curmudgeonly comments.
