Haughty swan goes for stroll, doesn't care about your morning commute

LONDON -- In Britain, it's the swans that run things.

We all know it. Whether they're bullying pensioners in Gloucestershire or pestering punters in Cambridge, the snowy white brutes can get away with pretty much anything they want.

They've got the Queen's backing, after all, and nobody messes with the Queen.

We don't know why this swan was casually walking down a busy road in Manchester, but the underlying message seems clear: "Don't mess with me, humans. Fall in line, and if one of you so much as dares to beep your horn I'll be introducing you to the full wrath of Her Majesty."

Sensibly, the people in the video above knew better than to antagonise the beast.
