Spicy Skittles are a thing that is happening, and OMG, can you handle it?

Forget everything you know about candy. Or at least forget that it's supposed to be sweet.

Chili powder on a mango, cinnamon candies, Mexican brownies -- a kick of heat can bring a lot to the table when it comes to dessert.

Mars is banking on people who love a little spice in their day to be all over their latest venture: Skittles and Starburst Sweet Heat.

The Sweet Heat packs, due out in December 2017, feature "fruity flavors with a spicy kick," according to an official press release.

Sweet Heat was just one of 12 new products announced by Wrigley this week at the National Confectioners Association’s Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago, an annual industry convention.

Already candy fans are alternating between responses both sweet... and spicy (sorry).

Love 'em or hate 'em, you know you wanna try something that's spicy pineapple flavored.
