The No. 21 Syracuse Oranges will face the Washington State Cougars in the DirecTV Holiday Bowl this week at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California. The matchup will take place on Friday, December 27, and is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Neither team had a terrible regular season, but were not among the 12-team College Football Playoff field. Syracuse finished the regular season with a record of 9-3, while the Cougars were 8-4. The nine wins did secure Syracuse with a No. 21 ranking in the CFP Top 25, and No. 22 in the AP Top 25.
