Terrible lizards have arrived to destroy the horses — at least in terms of funny costumes.

The horse head mask, you know the one, has been a staple of attention seekers, practical jokesters and equine cosplays for years. Know Your Meme claims that the rise of this ubiquitous mask began somewhere in late 2012 and it has since appeared in many natural disasters and presidential visits

This silly second skin is the creation of Rubie's Costume Co. They claim it's the "officially licensed Jurassic World" T-Rex inflatable costume, if that's something that's important to you.

Beyond the fan that clips on to your belt and the viewing screen that peeks out of the dino's throat, this raging trend in perennial costuming keeps a wide range of movement for the wearer.

People have done crazy things wearing this suit.

The costume was listed for $200 on Amazon, but now it appears that the thing is currently unavailable.

But don't worry; you can still don that dino suit at other retailers for an even lower price. For example, Buycostumes.com currently sells it for $99

You, yes you, can go around wearing inflated plastic and entertaining your friends until the trend wears thin. That will probably happen within the next few months.

But whatever you choose to do with the suit, it probably won't be quite as poignant as this GIF below. It showcases the ascendence of the T-Rex suit above that of the lowly horse mask, taking the reins in the newest costuming trend.
