Taco Bell is making a bot to let you order meals from Slack
The Taco Bell gods keep on giving.
The chain announced Wednesday it's testing TacoBot, a bot for Slack that allows users to order meals from within the chat application. The company is currently testing with a handful of teams but plans to roll it out more broadly in the future.

Once your Slack team has access to the bot, you can browse the menu, order and pay for meals all from within a Slack message.
It will even guide you through customization options for each of the items you order. Once you're finished, you can choose which Taco Bell location you want to pick up the order at.
It even (sort of) has a sense of humor.
TacoBot is only available to a handful of Slack teams for now but it sounds like the company has plans to open it up to more people in the future. Those interested in trying it out for themselves can sign up for the waitlist.
Of course, TacoBot is just one of many bots on Slack's platform. (There are bots that allow you to do everything from book travel to send GIFS and schedule meetings.) It also comes at a time when bots are an increasingly hot topic in the tech world.
Facebook and Google are rumored to be working on their own bot platforms, and Microsoft revealed its ambitious vision for a bot-filled future last week.
Still, the prospect of bots + Slack + on-demand quesalupas is hard to resist.
