Grilled cheese tacos are here to fulfill your wildest food dreams
We need to taco 'bout the newest trend in grilled cheese.
The Food in my Beard, a cooking blog created by Dan Whalen, has a creation that will make junk food -- and drunk food -- lovers drool.
It's called the Grilled Cheese Taco and it will rock your world.

"For the inspiration of this recipe, I thought of what would happen if I made a grilled cheese by slicing a loaf of bread the long way and ended up with a really long grilled cheese. Then I thought about what I could do with such a long grilled cheese and tacos were one of the first things that came to mind," Whalen told Mashable in an email.
"We have all seen double shelled tacos with cheese in the middle but having that buttery crunch of the toasted bread makes this version stand out."
The cheesy treat replaces tortillas or taco shells with grilled cheese sandwiches, making it the perfect hybrid of our favorite lactose-laden foods.
"The taste is as you would expect," Whalen explained. "The flavors of a grilled cheese and a taco in one, but it creates something greater than the sum of its parts because of the crazy way it looks and the texture when ground beef starts to soak into the bread. The crisp lettuce and fresh pico is also important to balance out the heavy bread cheese and meat."
While the Grilled Cheese Taco isn't available anywhere yet, Whalen wrote an easy recipe for dairy lovers to follow at home.
