'Overwatch' player's lewd comment toward interviewer costs team prize money

A professional Overwatch player cost himself and his team a day's worth of tournament earnings after making overtly sexual comments toward a female interviewer on a Twitch stream during a competition in South Korea.

Timo "Taimou" Kettunen, who competes with team EnVyUs, was watching rival team REUNITED being interviewed on the OGN Overwatch Apex stream when player Thomas "Morte" Kerbusch was asked how his team explored Korea.

In the comments section Kettunen wrote: "I wanna explore that interviewers girls thighs," and "gonna check those pantsus when im getting interviewed LUL."

OGN immediately revoked his team's daily winnings of $630 and issued a warning that could lead to a ban from the tournament, citing its sexual harassment policy.

After backlash from the community Kettunen, issued an apology -- and was allowed to continue playing.

Yesterday, I made a terrible comment that I should not have made in Twitch chat about the OGN Interviewer. I acknowledge that my comment disgusted and offended many people, including the interviewer. I understand that my comment cannot be considered as just a joke and at the time i was careless in my thinking.
